I haven’t been very good about updating this blog, but according to the stats page, no one has visited either, so I haven’t lost out really.
On Saturday, I got back to school after visiting Heather in Philly. We made some more plans and figured out some more details. It was exciting to be with her. On Monday, I started Greek II, and I will be completely done August 14th with Greek. I am looking forward to moving onto some other subjects, but Greek has been a blessing, too. Also, I just started working today in the Mail Center at Gordon-Conwell. It requires more work than Geneva’s mail room, but it will keep me busy. I have to make copies, answer the switchboard, sort packages, and maintain the bookstore.
Heather and I have been working on wedding plans. It’s coming together slowly, and we still have a few items to figure out, but we are excited and looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together. We are also looking forward to seeing each other every day.
I do have some prayer concerns. First, please pray that more people will financially support me. I am currently 5000 dollars away from my goal. If you don’t know what I am referring to, please click on the “Support” tab. Second, I am getting depressed. The work hasn’t been terrible (I enjoy it for the most part); it’s just that I am not dealing well with being away from my core group of friends and supporters. Also, I have been doing a lot of self reevaluating. Someone has once again pointed out my critical and opinionated personality. Although I won’t go into details right now, it has been on my mind and has made me question the way in which I interact with everything.
Lastly, in a couple of days (hopefully by Saturday evening), I will be posting my review of Richard Dawkins’ book The God Delusion.
With much love,
Christian Eriksson
